Lynn Connolly
Lysle Waggoner Huddleston is a realist oil painter who enjoys exploring all subject matter through her art, especially capturing the delicate details of still lifes and tranquil vistas of landscapes.
With an early interest in art, Lysle studied painting, calligraphy, and later metal-smithing (where she became a jeweler, specializing in archeological Estruscan design). At Vanderbilt University, Lysle studied art history and studio painting while pursuing a degree in Communications.
In 2007, Lysle joined a newly formed painting group in Wichita Falls, Texas instructed by artist Jane Spears that later became the Pecan Creek Artists. Since beginning to paint, Lysle has also studied with noted still life artist Jo Anna Arnett and noted landscape tonalist Michael Workman.
Her work has been exhibited at numerous local and regional venues, including exhibitions at the former Galerie Pavilion, the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at Midwestern, the Belleford Fine Art Gallery, the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center, various charity events and auctions, as well as the annual Pecan Creek Artists show.  In addition, Lysle’s work has been on exhibit at the Traditional Homes Showhouse in Southhampton, New York, Studio Four NYC Christmas Show, Housingworks Design on a Dime Benefit NYC, and the Artists’ Material Expo in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Juried shows include Breckenridge Fine Arts Center and the upcoming Red River Valley Intl. Art Exhibit in Vernon, Texas.
Lysle and husband Ken Huddleston reside in Wichita Falls, Texas and have two grown children, Lucia and Will.
