Lynn Connolly

After retiring from Library Media Services in Texas, Kitty and her husband moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. She attended the Hot Springs Community College, taking acrylic and drawing classes from professor Long Hua Xu, whose famous sculptures you will find in downtown Hot Springs. Moving back to Wichita Falls, Texas, where she has lived most of her adult life, she continued her studies in watercolor and oils, taking classes from various local art instructors.

Her love for painting has allowed her to seek out artists who have inspired her and given her further instruction. Jane Spears is at the top of her list and whom she paints along with others of The Pecan Creek Artists. Other workshops have been with Pam Ingalls, Joe Anna Arnett, Michael Workman and Aaron Bushnell. She had a private Showing of her watercolors at the Kemp Center for the Arts in Wichita Falls. Other exhibits have been as a group of the Pecan Creek Artists in Breckenridge, Texas and the Kemp Center for the Arts. Additional showings have been through the Wichita Falls Art Association at Midwestern State University and the Kemp Center for the Arts. She won the Best of Landscape award from a juried show at the Kemp in 2010.
